Keep it simple – could an outsider understand your business, your market and potential market size, the team and how much you are looking to raise? If not, start again.
Does my deck need to be fancy? Not necessarily. It needs to be appealing to the investor and concise in its message.
How important is a business plan? Critical. You need to show how you plan to spend the investment you are seeking and and what results you expect to achieve throughout the lifespan of the investment.
Can the founding team execute successfully? Do you have an epic team? Show what you and your team’s experience and skills are – who is the technical co-founder and who is the do-everything-else founder (i.e. the hustler)?
Don’t forget to include your business’s vision.
